The 2015 Atlantic hurricane season lived up to its forecast the pre-June seasonal forecasts all predicted below-average activity, and that is indeed what occurred. But one storm in particular, Hurricane Joaquin, stood out in this strong El Nio season, which tends to create an unfavorable environment for hurricanes in the Atlantic.
